A misnomer if ever there was one. This pattern has little actual similarity to Rosalie pattern, but it is very similar to Scroll pattern. In fact, it is identical to scroll pattern, except Rosalie Without Grapes has carved crests and Scroll pattern does not. This simple Belter pattern has stylized shell carved knees and a plain seat apron.

There are two vertical 'S' shape arabesques in the back of a Rosalie Without Grapes chair, one on each side of the upholstery. A curved band separates the two arabesques at the top of the upholstery, and a carved crest is above the curved center band. Rosalie Without Grapes sofas have carving on the center crest, only.
